Artist's Biography

Glass Fascination

For as long as I can remember, I have been fascinated with the incredible beauty of blown and stained glass. Prior to my introduction to lampworking, I had worked with a friend on some stained glass projects. Then in June of 2002, my partner, Leslie, and I took our first lampworking class at the Austin Museum of Art and were instantly overcome by the endless possiblities of this new (ancient) medium. From there I began reading all forms of litterature about the art, attending expos and showcases, meeting other artists, joining organizations, and made a promise to myself to start an endless study with the masters, and when possible, share those techniques with others.
